Loads of wind but wsw not a good direction here at felixstowe and could'nt make West Kirby :( so after a fantastic couple of days at our Alton Water canoeing and biking returned to Felixstowe this morning and then took my gear for a ride to find the best spot.I ended up at Felixstowe Ferry as it was too windy to sail around from The Dip to Bawdsey launched from in front of the martello tower and sailed across the river at slack tide.I went with my longboard and 8.5 again as I did,nt think it was windy enough for a short board and I was'nt sure abut the direction either ??? It was very windy but very up and down :( and shallow too !!! Starting on Bawdsey beach you had to beat to the edge of the rough water try and turn adjust the track and head back to the beach broad trying not to run aground !!! So not the most enjoyable sail and the and my max was slower but the ave a little better ??? I was the only one out here and shared the run with a seal :) I came ashore as the tide rose and it became abit bumpy and went to The Fludgers just around the corner where my mates were out with 4.5 to 6m on wave boards.
